Supporting families. Strengthening connections.
Next Stage Experiences
Real Experiences. Stronger Connections. Meaningful Growth.
A new approach to helping families strengthen relationships through clinically informed, real-world experiences.
Every family has its own story, relationships, strengths, and challenges. As families grow and change, they may face new questions about communication, connection, independence, family roles, and belonging.
What if families had opportunities not only to talk about their relationships, but to experience them differently?
At Next Stage Experiences, we combine professional family-systems expertise with enjoyable, thoughtfully selected community experiences to help families work toward meaningful relational and developmental goals.
The result is a personalized, time-limited clinical program that brings family growth beyond the traditional therapy setting.

More Than a Family Outing
Family relationships are shaped by more than conversations. They also develop through shared experiences, everyday interactions, challenges, traditions, and moments of enjoyment.
During stressful periods or developmental transitions, families may find themselves caught in familiar patterns. Some relationships become distant, family members may feel misunderstood or excluded, and changing needs can create tension.
Traditional family therapy can help families understand these patterns and develop new ways of relating.
Next Stage Experiences builds on that foundation by helping families identify and participate in meaningful experiences that offer opportunities to practice new skills, create positive memories, strengthen particular relationships, and explore different ways of interacting.
We believe meaningful family growth can occur through both clinical understanding and positive shared experiences.
Designed Around Your Family
There is no single definition of family—and no single formula for family connection.
Next Stage Experiences welcomes families with a wide range of structures, relationships, and experiences, including:
Blended families and stepfamilies
Families navigating childhood and adolescent developmental transitions
Adoptive and kinship families
LGBTQ+ parent families
Chosen families and other intentionally formed family systems
Multigenerational and extended families
Families experiencing changing roles, transitions, or relationship difficulties
Families who want to strengthen existing relationships and invest intentionally in their future
We work from your family's understanding of its own relationships, while respecting individual boundaries, developmental needs, and appropriate decision-making roles.
Whether your family is working through a challenge or hoping to strengthen its connections, we begin by learning what matters most to you.
The Next Stage Approach
Meaningful family connections don't happen simply because we spend time together. They grow through intentional experiences that reflect who we are, how we relate, and what matters most to us.
At Next Stage Experiences, we bring together clinical family-systems expertise and the power of shared experiences to create opportunities for connection, growth, and meaningful change. We recognize that every family has its own relationships, strengths, challenges, and ways of interacting. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all retreat or vacation, our approach considers the unique needs of each family and the individual relationships within it.
We believe that strengthening family connections requires more than bringing everyone together for the same activities. Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen between a parent and child, siblings discovering common interests, or family members learning to navigate changing roles. Other times, connection develops through shared adventures, creative challenges, or simply enjoying one another's company in a different environment. Our approach values both the family as a whole and the important relationships within it.
What makes Next Stage Experiences distinctive is the connection between professional understanding, collaborative planning, and real-world experiences. Clinical preparation helps identify opportunities for growth, while thoughtfully designed activities give families space to explore new ways of communicating, cooperating, and connecting. Skilled facilitation can help families navigate everyday challenges and make the most of their time together, without turning the experience itself into an extended therapy session.
Ultimately, our goal is not simply to help families enjoy a memorable experience. It is to create opportunities for positive interactions, new perspectives, and meaningful connections that families can continue building on long after the experience ends.
Because sometimes the most meaningful changes begin when families have the opportunity to experience one another differently.
What Might Your Family Work Toward?

Improving Communication
Creating opportunities to practice listening, expressing preferences, negotiating differences, and responding more constructively to one another.
Developing New Perspectives
Helping family members discover strengths, interests, or qualities in one another that may be overlooked within familiar relationship patterns.
Creating Meaningful Family Traditions

Progress looks different for every family. Your goals are established collaboratively and guide the clinical process.
A Focused Experience, Built Around Your Needs
Next Stage is designed as a standalone, time-limited clinical program.
Families do not need to be established therapy clients to inquire about participating. Clinical suitability is considered during the assessment process.
Our signature approach emphasizes a concentrated period of family experiences—often a day or weekend—supported by clinical assessment, preparation, and follow-up integration.
The precise format is individualized. Some families may benefit from a single intensive day of experiences, while others may prefer a weekend or a different arrangement.
You participate in the selected community activities independently, while the clinical components occur through scheduled appointments.
At this stage, families arrange and pay for their own activities, meals, accommodations, and transportation. Next Stage provides the specialized clinical assessment, guidance, preparation, and integration that give the program its distinctive purpose.
Program Investment
Because every family system is different, program pricing is based partly on the number of family members participating.
Program fees cover the agreed-upon scope of clinical assessment, collaborative goal-setting, experience guidance, preparation, and clinical integration.
Fees for community activities, admission, transportation, meals, and lodging are separate and paid by the family.
Final program scope and any need for additional clinical services are discussed transparently before enrollment.
Pricing and program availability are preliminary and subject to finalization.
Why Next Stage Experiences?
Because family growth is not always something that happens sitting in a room talking.
Sometimes it happens when a teenager feels genuinely heard.
When two family members discover something they enjoy together.
When someone sees a parent, child, sibling, or stepparent in a new light.
When a family approaches a familiar challenge differently.
Or when individual relationships grow in ways that help the larger family system function more effectively.
Next Stage Experiences brings family-systems understanding, developmental expertise, collaborative planning, and meaningful shared experiences together in a focused clinical program.
Our purpose is to help families discover opportunities for connection and growth through experiences that are meaningful to them.

The Journey to Stronger Connections
Every family is different, and meaningful experiences begin with understanding those differences.
Our five-step approach combines professional family insight, thoughtful preparation, collaborative experience design, and opportunities to connect in real life.
① 👥 Get to Know Your Family
Family Assessment
We begin by getting to know your family—its relationships, strengths, challenges, interests, and goals. Through conversations and a family-centered assessment, we develop a deeper understanding of what matters to each person and where opportunities for meaningful connection may exist.
② 💬 Prepare for the Experience
Family Preparation
Before the experience begins, families participate in guided sessions to explore expectations, address potential challenges, and develop useful communication and relationship skills. This preparation helps everyone approach the experience with greater understanding, realistic expectations, and a shared sense of purpose.
③ 🧭 Design Your Journey Together
Collaborative Experience Design
Working together, your family and our experience-design team create a journey that reflects your unique relationships, interests, preferences, and goals. Drawing on insights from the assessment and preparation process, we collaborate to select activities, destinations, and opportunities for connection that feel meaningful and enjoyable to everyone involved.
Whether that means shared adventures, one-on-one time, new experiences, or simply space to relax, the goal is to create a thoughtful balance that respects each family member's needs and encourages connection to develop naturally.
④ ☀️ Experience Something Different Together
The Family Experience
This is where preparation meets real life. Families enjoy thoughtfully selected activities while trained facilitators support positive interactions, encourage communication and cooperation, and help navigate ordinary challenges.
The focus is on fun, shared memories, and practicing new ways of relating—not turning your vacation into a therapy session.
⑤ 🌱 Bring the Experience Home
Reflection & Integration
The journey doesn't end when the experience is over. Follow-up sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on meaningful moments, recognize what worked, and explore how to carry new insights, skills, and positive connections into everyday family life.
